The initial release of the BIG BOLD IRONY collection for the spring/summer season made a bold statement by combining contrasting colours and materials in a post-modern fusion. For the first time, the collection featured a BIOCERAMIC core paired with a stainless steel case, resulting in an angular, multi-level, and high-tech aesthetic. Urban details take centre stage, with the BIOCERAMIC plate, skeleton dials, and bi-compressed structured strap available in five striking colour options: black (DARK IRONY), azure (AZURE BLUE DAZE), red (RED JUICY), turquoise (MINT TRIM), and yellow (BOLDEN YELLOW). Despite their robust appearance, the sand-blasted stainless steel case and crown are surprisingly lightweight at just 108 grams. For an extra dash of flair, the hands and index markers are equipped with glow-in-the-dark features, and in keeping with the BIG BOLD tradition, the crown is positioned at 2 o’clock.
For the latest season, the BIG BOLD IRONY watches feature a range of rich and metallic tones, thanks to their prominent sun-brushed dials, available in five attention-grabbing shades that are impossible to overlook: turquoise (AQUA SHIMMER), dark green (FOREST FACE), navy blue (INDIGO HOUR), amber (AMBER SHEEN), and burgundy (SCARLET SHIMMER). The sand-blasted finish applied to the case, crown, and bracelet is a new treatment developed exclusively by Swatch, providing a rich and eye-catching matte appearance.
